About Us

In 1985 Bob Schiessl started a sharpening business, known as “Bob’s Mobile Sharpening Service”. He specialized in clipper blade, scissor and knife sharpening. After using many clipper sharpening machines and experiencing much frustration, he discovered a machine he loved, made by Tippy Tipton. Bob liked the machine so much that he sold it for about a year. In 2000, he then purchased the rights to the machine and began manufacturing.

Today, Nebraska Blades manufactures three clipper blade sharpening machines! We also offer a variety of sharpening products, instructional DVDs, provide training and continue to sharpen every day of the week. Bob has spent 26 years perfecting his skills and knows just about all there is to know about clipper sharpening; Bob is a go-to man for many people. He has given countless classes and presentations on sharpening. Respected in his field, he carries himself and runs his business on a foundation of integrity and honesty.

Linda, Bob’s wife is his right arm. She runs the office and most of the day-to-day business, handling the orders, shipping and accounting. Chances are when you call, you’ll talk to her.

Bob’s children, Theresa, Anthony, and Andrew have worked in the business throughout the years. Theresa ran the office and day-to-day operations for about five years. We miss her!! Both boys sharpened and ran routes up to Lincoln and Omaha while in high school. They both joined the service for awhile and now are pursing careers in nursing and the diesel mechanics. Two other sons, Dan and Lee also spent time sharpening.

Sadie, the office dog is never too far from Bob! She greets the delivery people and loves it when they present a treat for her. You just might hear her greeting in the background when you call.

Our Policies

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return your order within 30-Days of the Date of Purchase for a full refund less shipping. Product must be in new, salable condition unless it is defective. A 10% re-stocking fee may be incurred.

Due to Copy Right Laws, Training DVDs are non-refundable, but may be exchanged for the same title if it is defective.

If you do choose to return or exchange your order, you may choose FedEx, UPS, or US Postal Service at your own expense.
